10 Mile Turkey Trot
The 10 Mile Turkey Trot is scheduled for 13 Dec 2026 and is a chip timed road race on a Scottish Athletics approved course. The race starts at Lossiemouth Leisure Centre and follows coastal roads toward Lossiemouth Harbour, continues along the coast toward Covesea, turns around the airbase and returns to Lossiemouth. The course is entirely on road and it is not a closed road race. A water station is provided approximately halfway.
Registration and bib collection take place at Lossiemouth Sports & Community Centre. Photo ID is required to collect a race bib. Changing facilities, showers and toilets are available at the community centre, and there is a bag drop there; the organiser accepts no liability for belongings. Route GPX files are provided for download and route maps will be published.
Entries offered an option to purchase a bespoke medal at sign up. Awards are given for the top three male and top three female finishers based on gun time, with further awards for first in each age category. There is a 2.5 hour cut off and participants who expect to take longer than two hours are advised to use the earlier starting wave for full course support. No bib transfers, deferrals or refunds are permitted. Free refreshments are provided at the finish and a coffee vendor and food truck are present at start and finish areas.
