Event Details

The 10 Mile Turkey Trot takes place on 13 December 2026. There are two entry options: one includes a bespoke medal for purchase, and the other does not. The event is chip-timed and is a Scottish Athletics approved road race. The course is not closed to traffic.

Route & Support

The race starts at the Lossiemouth Leisure Centre and follows a coastal road route towards Lossiemouth Harbour and Covesea, before looping back. There is one water station approximately halfway through the course. There is a cut-off time of 2.5 hours. Participants who anticipate taking longer than two hours are recommended to use an early start.

Venue & Facilities

Registration and bib collection occur at the Lossiemouth Sports & Community Centre on the morning of the event. Photo ID is required to collect a bib. Changing facilities, showers, toilets, and a bag drop are available at the community centre. Free refreshments are provided at the finish, and a coffee van and food truck will be present.

Rules & Awards

Participants must be 18 or older on race day. The use of buggies, pets, and in-ear headphones is not permitted; only bone-conducting headphones are allowed. Awards are given to the top three male and female finishers based on gun time, not chip time, with additional awards for first place in each age category.
