10 Mile Turkey Trot
The 10 Mile Turkey Trot takes place on 13 Dec 2026 in Lossiemouth. The event is chip timed and offers an option to purchase a bespoke medal at entry. Registration options include entries with or without a medal.
Registration, bib and shoe timing chip collection are at the rear of Lossiemouth Sports & Community Centre, Coulardbank Road, Lossiemouth IV31 6JU. Photo ID is required to collect a bib; there is an option to collect a bib the day before, but the shoe timing chip must be collected on race day. Access to hall facilities on race day is via the rear of the centre only.
There is limited parking at the leisure centre and additional parking at Lossiemouth East Beach and Lossiemouth West Beach car parks. Organisers request considerate residential parking and recommend car sharing.
The course is Scottish Athletics approved, entirely on road and not closed to traffic. The route starts at Lossiemouth Leisure Centre, runs toward Lossiemouth Harbour, follows coastal roads toward Covesea, turns left around the airbase and returns to Lossie. A water station is provided at the halfway point.
Event rules include a minimum age of 18 on race day, no buggies or pets, and allowance of only bone conducting headphones; in ear headphones will result in disqualification. There is a 2.5 hour cut off and marshals and course support are withdrawn at cut off points. Awards for top three male and female finishers are based on gun time, with further awards by age category. Finish area amenities include refreshments, a coffee vendor and free race photography. Changing rooms, showers and toilets are available at the community centre; competitors may leave a bag there but organisers accept no liability. No bib transfers, deferrals or refunds are permitted; the event may be changed or cancelled in extreme or unsafe conditions. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
