10 Mile Turkey Trot
The 10 Mile Turkey Trot is a road running event held in Lossiemouth. The course is Scottish Athletics approved and consists of a single loop on open roads. The route begins at the Lossiemouth Leisure Centre and heads toward Lossiemouth Harbour. It follows the coastline toward Covesea before turning around the airbase and returning to the town. Participants have access to a water station at the halfway point of the course.

This is a chip-timed competition, though awards for the top three male and female finishers are determined by gun time. Age category awards are also presented. Registration and bib collection take place at the Lossiemouth Sports & Community Centre, where participants must present photo identification to receive their race numbers. The facility provides changing rooms, showers, toilets, and a bag drop area for runners.
The race has a 2.5-hour cut-off time, after which course marshals and support are withdrawn. Participants must be at least 18 years old to enter. The use of bone-conducting headphones is permitted, but in-ear headphones are prohibited. Additionally, running with buggies or pets is not allowed. At the finish line, refreshments including water and cakes are provided in the hall, with additional food and drink options available from external vendors.
