Speedway in Lights 5K
The Speedway in Lights 5K is a run and walk event held at the Bristol Motor Speedway in Tennessee. Celebrating its 16th year in 2026, the event allows participants to view a large holiday lights display featuring 40 new displays for the current year.
The course for the 5K follows a specific route through the racing facilities. It starts near Entrance No. 2 by the BMS South Building. Participants complete a loop that involves traveling up and back down the quarter-mile Bristol Dragway. The route then leads into the high-banked oval stadium through the pit gate. Once inside the stadium, the course continues in a counterclockwise direction along the backstretch of the track. The finish line is located just before Turn 2.
Registration is open to various age groups, with specific pricing tiers for adults and children aged 12 and under. Children aged 3 and under may participate for free, though they do not receive included items like t-shirts or ornaments. Online registration is available until early November, after which on-site registration is offered on the day of the event.
