Speedway in Lights 5K
The Speedway in Lights 5K is a run and walk event held on November 15, 2026, at 151 Speedway Blvd, Bristol, TN. The event is entering its 16th year and expects more than 1,000 participants. It features both a timed 5K race and a fun walk/run.
The course was updated for 2026 with 40 new light displays and runs through the speedway grounds and holiday light display. The route begins near Entrance No. 2 beside the BMS South Building, makes a loop up and back along the historic quarter mile Bristol Dragway, returns to the high banked oval, enters the stadium at the pit gate, continues down the track backstretch in a counterclockwise direction, and finishes just before Turn 2.
Online registration opens in late February and remains open through November 8. After online registration closes, participants may register on site on the day of the event. Children age 3 and under are free and do not receive a T shirt or ornament. Registration pricing varies by period: February 25 to March 31 Adults $25 Kids 12 and under $15; April 1 to July 31 Adults $35 Kids $20; August 1 to October 28 Adults $45 Kids $25; October 29 to November 8 Adults $35 Kids $25 with T shirts and ornaments not guaranteed.
