Troublesome Hollow takes place April 25-26, 2026 in Bristol, Virginia at 7720 Rich Valley. The weekend includes multiple distance options:

The event is included in the From Start to Heart series. A series registration is listed at $450 and is limited to 50 spots for the series participants. Registration opens November 3, 2025 at 8:00 PM ET.
Course and logistics
The course runs on riverside trails with swinging bridges and trestles. The route includes one short climb to a fire tower. The 25K follows the Benhams to Mendota section and crosses the swinging bridge twice. Aid stations are provided along the course.
Packet pick-up for the 50K is listed at the Birthplace of Country Music Museum, 101 Country Music Way, Bristol, VA. Packet pick-up for the 25K and walk is at the start/finish location on race morning. Timing is provided by Zen Arcade Timing with chip timing, live tracking, and split displays.
