Troublesome Hollow is a multi-day trail event in Southwest Virginia near Bristol at 7720 Rich Valley. The event is presented in the organizers' home region described as the birthplace of country music and of Yeti Trail Running. Routes follow riverside trails with swinging bridges and trestles and include a short climb to a prominent fire tower.

The course is described as largely flat and fast along the river, with one small hill up to the fire tower. Aid stations are provided on course; organizers list five aid stations in typical configuration. Timing and live tracking are provided by ZEN ARCADE TIMING.
Event operations note a packet pickup at the Birthplace of Country Music Museum and local lodging options near the start/finish including an Econo Lodge and Sessions Hotel. The event enforces a cupless policy; participants must carry reusable cups for hot and cold drinks.
