Spass-Tagen 5K Run/Walk : Saint Bonifacius, MN
The Spass-Tagen 5K is a community fun run and walk held during the 2026 Saint Bonifacius Spass-Tagen Festival on Saturday, September 12, 2026. The event takes place at 8672 Wildwood Ave, St Bonifacius, MN 55375. All proceeds benefit the Spass-Tagen Festival. Registration is $25; participants who register before August 31 are guaranteed a commemorative race t-shirt printed locally by icecreaMNlove in Waconia. Additional shirts may be available for purchase at the start and finish, but sizes are not guaranteed for later registrants.
The course begins at Jazzy J Salon and follows Wildwood Avenue east, turns north onto Highland Road and climbs a modest hill, with a water station near Reed Road. Runners then proceed east on Halstead onto the Dakota Line Regional Trail for an out-and-back segment, return to Highland, and follow Wildwood Avenue back to the start area. Timing is self timed; a timing clock will be present but there are no official results, no chip timing, and the course is not USATF certified. Roads will remain open during the event, so the course will be marked with cones and participants should keep to the left and be aware of traffic. The Dakota Line Regional Trail is a shared trail; trail etiquette should be observed. Parking is available at Thurk Bros and on nearby streets.
