SPArC 5K Run and Walk
The Slicer Performing Arts Club (SPArC) 5K Run and Walk takes place on October 11, 2026, at La Porte High School in La Porte, Indiana. The event is organized by SPArC, a non-profit that supports the performing arts at the high school, and proceeds go directly to student programs.

- 100 m Mini Slicer Sprint for 4th graders and under
The 5K course begins at La Porte High School, moves through surrounding neighborhoods to Kesling Park, and returns to the high school for the finish. Medals will be awarded to the best overall male and female finishers and to top finishers in each age group.
The Mini Slicer Sprint is a 100 meter dash for participants in 4th grade and younger; every Mini Slicer Sprint participant receives a medal at the finish.
Registration opens May 18, 2026, and closes October 11, 2026. Registration fees listed for the events are $40.00 for the 5K and $20.00 for the Mini Slicer Sprint. The first 100 registered runners will receive a limited edition black and orange SPArC beanie.
Race parking and the start area are in the South Lot at La Porte High School, entered from 10th Street. Additional parking is available in the North Lot, entered from I Street. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
