The Turkey Toss 4 Miler Road Run takes place on November 27, 2026, at Hawthorne Park, 500 Ackerman Drive, Porter, IN 46304. The course is a 2-mile out-and-back route on pavement and bike trail, giving a total distance of 4 miles. The route will be marked with flags and arrow signs at major turns. Organizers note cold weather is likely and the community center will be available to warm up after the race.
On-site information and extras
Packet pick-up, race day sign-ups, food, and bathrooms are located in the community center. Finishers receive a numbered popsicle stick for timing and must return the stick to the community center after finishing. All runners will receive a turkey hat. Water, snacks, coffee, and Gatorade are provided after the race. Selected raffle winners will be invited to a "Turkey Bowling" activity inside the community center using a 4-pound frozen turkey; one raffle ticket is included in the goodie bag and extra tickets cost $1. Old Crazy Legs Race Series t-shirts and other items will be sold for $5, with proceeds going to the Porter Parks Department.
