Event Overview
The Space Coast Classic takes place in Cocoa, Florida, starting at the Catherine Schweinsberg Rood Central Library. This event serves as the ninth race in the Space Coast Runners Runner of the Year Series and is notable for being the only 15 km race held in Brevard County. The 2026 edition features a theme centered on the Corvette, marking the first installment of a three-year series highlighting classic cars. Participants who complete the event for three consecutive years are eligible for a challenge medal.

Logistics and Participation
This event welcomes hand cycle and wheelchair participants. Registered participants who complete their race receive a finisher medal and a race shirt if registered by the early deadline of March 15, 2026. Packet pickup is organized at the Running Zone in Melbourne in the days leading up to the event, with limited pickup available on the morning of the races.
The event proceeds in rain or shine conditions. Post-race activities include food and drinks for attendees, as well as award ceremonies for various categories. Awards are presented to the top three overall male and female finishers, as well as winners in masters, grand masters, and senior grand masters divisions. There are also specific age group awards and a category for co-ed teams with a minimum of five members. Proceeds from the event benefit the Survive First Foundation.
