Event Overview

The Space Coast Classic 15K & 2 Mile takes place in Cocoa, Florida at the Catherine Schweinsberg Rood Central Library. This event serves as the ninth race in the Space Coast Runners Runner of the Year Series and is notable for being the only 15K distance race held in Brevard County. The 2026 edition features the "Year of the Corvette" theme, marking the first installment of a three-year series highlighting classic cars. Participants who complete the series over three consecutive years are eligible for a challenge medal.

Participant Information

Every race finisher receives a medal. Paid early registration includes a guaranteed race shirt, provided the registration is completed by mid-March. The event is open to hand cycle and wheelchair participants. Attendance includes access to food and drink for all participants. The race proceeds benefit the Survive First Foundation.

Packet pickup is available in the days leading up to the race at the Running Zone in Melbourne, or on the morning of the event at the race site. Award categories recognize the top three overall male and female finishers, as well as winners in masters, grand masters, and senior grand masters divisions. There are also awards for the top three in various age groups and the top co-ed teams for both distances. A monetary prize is offered for breaking the 2024 15K course records.
