Race Overview
The Southern Utah Halloween Half Marathon, 5k, and Relay is a road race held in Hurricane, Utah. The course follows a scenic route through local farmlands and concludes with a finish at the Fisher Family Farm. This event is designed as a lap-based competition with a festive theme centering on the Halloween holiday.
Event Distances
Participants can choose from the following event options:
- 5K: A single-lap course totaling approximately 3.1 miles.
- Half Marathon: A four-lap course covering the half marathon distance.
- Relay: A team-based event for up to four members to complete the laps.
Course Details
The course is situated entirely on paved roads. From the start at Fisher Family Farm, runners travel west on 3000 S before turning north on 1500 W for one mile. The route then heads east on 2400 S, north on 1300 W, and finally south on 1100 W for approximately one mile. Each lap concludes by returning to the farm.
For the Half Marathon, runners stop at a designated Trick-or-Treat station during each of the four laps to collect a piece of candy. Relay teams have the option to divide the laps between members sequentially or run a loop together to collect candy before crossing the finish line. 5K participants collect their candy as they finish their single lap.
Logistics
Packet pickup is available at the Fisher Family Farm on the Friday before the race or on the morning of the event. The race takes place in late October, utilizing the 1162 W 3000 S location in Hurricane as the central hub for the start, finish, and lap transitions.
