Hungry Hustle Ugly Sweater 5K Fun Run
The Hungry Hustle is a holiday-themed 5k fun run and fundraiser held on the Virgin River Trail at Sullivan Virgin River Soccer Park. The event combines a themed run with a food drive to support efforts to reduce childhood hunger in the local community.
The course is an out-and-back 5k that allows participants to turn around early; participants who do not complete the full 5k are not eligible for event prizes. Water and Gatorade are provided at the start line, at mile 0.5, mile 1.5, mile 2.5, and at the finish. Parking is available near the gazebo and starting area. A course map and packet pickup are provided at the park; packet pickup is located at the fishing pond gazebo at the south end of Sullivan Park.
Registration categories and reported impacts:
- Individual 5k entry : $40, provides 100+ meals to children.
- Family 5k entry (up to 6 people) : $115, provides 300+ meals to children.
Registration includes a t-shirt, race packet swag, and finish-area food. Post-race items include light refreshments, pancakes and hot chocolate, prizes for top finishers (male and female 1st–3rd), and Ugliest Sweater Awards. A food drive drop-off is held at Sullivan Park during the event. Volunteer roles cover setup, registration, aid stations, general support, and cleanup.
