Event details
The Southern Utah Half Marathon takes place on March 28, 2026, in Washington, Utah (1250 Highland Pkwy, Washington, UT 84780). The event includes a Half Marathon and a Wheelchair Half Marathon. The race is part of the Underground Runner Series. Current registration price shown is $74 and increases after December 6, 2025. A free headband is offered to the first 500 people who register for the half marathon.
Course and aid stations
The course starts at Highland Park and offers views of the sun rising over Zion National Park. The route descends for the first four miles, then continues on the paved Virgin River Trail with a gradual decline for the remaining nine miles. Aid stations are located at the following mile markers: Starting Line, 2.25, 4, 6, 8.5, 10.5, 11.75, and 13.1. All aid stations supply water and Gatorade. Aid Stations 6 and 10 will also offer GU. Aid Stations 4, 6 and 10 will also have porta potties.
Giveaways and awards
All participants receive a Southern Utah Half Marathon T-shirt. Runners who complete the race within four hours receive a finisher medal. Awards are given to the top three in each age division. The top five men and top five women overall receive gift cards to the St. George Running Center. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
