Southern Utah Half Marathon
The Southern Utah Half Marathon is a 13.1 miles road race held on March 27, 2027, that starts at Highland Park in Washington, Utah and finishes at Bloomington Park in St. George, Utah. The paved course runs quickly downhill for the first four miles, dropping roughly 500 feet, then continues as a gradual decline along the Virgin River Trail for the remaining nine miles.
The event is chip timed, with timing chips located on the back of bibs. Each mile is marked. Aid stations are positioned near multiple mile markers, and they provide water plus energy gel options; porta potties are available at several aid locations. A gear drop is available at the start and bags are transported to the finish. Clothing left along the course or at aid stations will be donated.
Packet pick-up is at the St George Running Center on the Friday before the race during an afternoon/evening window; there is no race day packet pick-up and no race day registration. Shuttle buses run between the finish area and the starting area, and a drop-off zone is available at Highland Park while neighborhood parking is restricted. Parking is available at Bloomington Park and Bloomington Elementary School; no parking is permitted on Man O War Road.
There is a four hour race cutoff; finisher medals are awarded only to half marathoners who complete the course within that limit. Awards are given to the top overall finishers and in age divisions. Race tracking is available through a tracking app and pacers are present at the start. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
