Southern Tier Corporate Challenge : Olean, NY
The Southern Tier Corporate Challenge is a community and corporate wellness event held on June 25, 2026 at Jamestown Community College Cattaraugus Campus, 260 North Union Street, Olean, NY. The event offers both an organized, professionally timed running competition and a non timed community walk, each with separate start lines and course directions that begin and end on the college campus.
Distances offered:
- 5K run (timed; chip timing used for runners)
- 2 Mile walk (non timed)
Registration is open online with different pricing for Greater Olean Area Chamber of Commerce (GOACC) member employees and non members, with early and race day rates. Minimum age to participate is 16 years. Packet pickup is located near the start and finish area; early pickup is recommended. Each paid registrant receives an official race bib, a complimentary alcoholic beverage ticket for those 21 and over, access to water, a $10 food voucher for onsite food trucks, and a 15 percent off coupon for the event shirt. Team registration options include individual sign up under a team, promo code invoicing for larger teams with invoicing fees, or bulk spreadsheet entry with team invoicing.
Awards are presented for overall fastest male and female, corporate and community team places, fastest CEO, and Most Spirited Team. Team awards use the average time of the top five team members. Parking is available at the college and Olean Center Mall.
A community cereal collection challenge runs May 19 through June 23 with donations delivered to the Olean Food Pantry; winners for most boxes per company and per employee are announced at the event. The event uses professional Jaguar RFID timing provided by Race Management Solutions with real time results and finisher materials available after the race.
