Southern Tier Corporate Challenge - Olean, NY
The 16th Annual Southern Tier Corporate Challenge is scheduled for June 25, 2026 at Jamestown Community College Cattaraugus Campus, 260 North Union Street, Olean, NY. The Greater Olean Area Chamber of Commerce organizes the event for company teams, employees, and community participants and concludes with a post race celebration featuring food trucks, drinks, music, and awards.
Event formats include:
- 5K Run timed with electronic chip timing
- 2-Mile Walk non-timed fun walk
The competition is divided into Corporate and Community divisions. Corporate division participants must be employees of a GOACC member business; mixed teams will compete in the Community division. Team awards are based on the average time of the top five fastest team members. Individual and team awards include fastest male and female, top corporate and community teams, fastest CEO, and Most Spirited Team.
Online registration is available through race day and minimum age to participate is 16. Registrations include an official race bib, chip timing for runners, a complimentary alcoholic beverage ticket for those 21 and over, access to water, a $10 food voucher for participating food trucks, and a 15% off coupon for the official event shirt. Packet pickup is located near the start/finish on race day and early pickup is recommended for larger teams.
Professional RFID timing and finish line services are provided by Race Management Solutions with real time results and finish line photos. Parking is available at the college and Olean Center Mall.
The Greater Olean Area Chamber of Commerce and the Olean Food Pantry run a cereal collection challenge for companies from May 19 through June 23 with donations delivered to the Olean Food Pantry at 8 Leo Moss Drive during pantry hours. Winners are recognized at the event. The event has a no refund policy and organizers may postpone, reschedule, or offer a virtual alternative if necessary.
