Event Overview
The Olean Hospice Hope event is organized by Olean HomeCare & Hospice. It is the second annual edition and will take place on Wednesday, May 13, 2026, in Olean, New York. The event aims to raise money and awareness for hospice care.
Location
All events start and finish at Lincoln Park, located at the corner of North Union and South State Street in downtown Olean.
Event Options
Participants can choose from three main activities, all supporting hospice:
- A 1.4-mile non-timed walk
- A 5K run
- An 8.5-mile bike ride
There is also a virtual 5K option, which can be completed anywhere during May or June.
Registration & Fees
Standard registration is $35 until May 6, increasing to $40 after that. A student rate of $10 is available for participants 18 years and under. Online registration remains open until the day of the event. Packet pickup occurs at Lincoln Park starting at 4:30 PM.
Awards
For the 5K run, trophies will be awarded to the first-place overall male and female finishers. The top three male and female finishers in each age group will receive special swag. Age groups range from 14 and under to 70 and older. Finisher certificates with individual stats can be downloaded after the race.
Included with Registration
The entry fee includes an official event baseball cap, extra race swag, a race bib, and post-race snacks. An official event T-shirt can be purchased separately for $5 during checkout, along with other apparel options.
Other Details
A post-race celebration with music, bottled water, and snacks will be held at Lincoln Park. Free parking is available at and near the park. Professional timing services using RFID technology will be provided for the 5K run. In case of cancellation, the event may be rescheduled or converted to a virtual race; no refunds will be issued.
