UltraTrax Holiday Valley
UltraTrax Holiday Valley is a single-day endurance walking challenge held in Ellicottville, NY on May 30, 2027. The event is built around a 7 mile loop on varied terrain through wooded slopes and ridges at Holiday Valley. Each loop has 854 feet of elevation gain with start/finish near 950 ft and a peak near 1,350 ft. Average seasonal temperature is listed as 74°F.
Participants choose how many loops to attempt within a 10 hour window. Distance options are:
- 7 miles - one loop
- 14 miles - two loops
- 21 miles - three loops
- 28 miles - four loops
Walkers may complete the course unweighted or add a weighted vest or ruck in prescribed increments, including 10, 20, or 35 lb options. Aid stations are placed every 2 to 3 miles with water, electrolytes, snacks, and toilets. The course is professionally timed, well marked, and supported by volunteers and staffed aid points. Finishers receive a commemorative patch and custom event T-shirt; medals are awarded according to distance with Trail Wolf and Grey Wolf distinctions and additional swag available for ruck participants. A portion of each registration supports land conservation, with UltraTrax committing a minimum annual donation toward trail protection. Lodging options are available at the resort.
