The Southern Paws Animal Rescue 5k is the sixth annual benefit at Boone Hall Plantation & Gardens in Mount Pleasant, South Carolina. The event is a community fundraiser for Southern Paws Animal Rescue and is organized as a 5k run around Boone Hall.
Southern Paws Animal Rescue is a 501c3 organization focused on rescuing abused and neglected animals, restoring them to good health, and finding them homes when possible. The organization works with law enforcement on cases of animal neglect and abuse and provides ongoing care for animals that cannot be adopted.
There are two registration options: standard entry, or entry plus a bag of animal food brought to the event, which reduces the registration fee by $10. Registration closes on Tue, May 5 at 11:59 PM ET. Late registrations and packet pickup take place Friday, May 8 from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Charleston Sports Pub, 1909 North Highway 17, Mount Pleasant, SC; same-day pickup is available the morning of the event from 7:00 AM to 7:30 AM. Shirts are guaranteed for those registered by April 15.
Facilities and policies: restrooms will be available near the start/finish area, parking will use the Highway 17 event parking area, the event proceeds rain or shine, no refunds will be issued, and registrations cannot be transferred.
