Charleston RiverDogs: Run Charlie Run 5K
The Charleston RiverDogs present the "Run Charlie Run" 5K on May 3, 2026, at Riley Park, 360 Fishburne St., Charleston, SC 29403. The event benefits MUSC Children's Health. Two event options are offered:
- 5K Run (3.1 miles)
- Virtual 5K
Course, kit, and awards
The 5K course starts in front of Joseph P. Riley Jr. Park and finishes at home plate, weather permitting. Split times are provided at each mile and a water station is located at the halfway point. Chip timing is used and age-group awards are given: top 3 male and top 3 female overall, plus first male and female in the following age groups: under 10, 10-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70 and over.
Race registration includes a sublimated technical team jersey, a custom finisher medal, a RiverDogs game e-ticket for the May 3 post-race game, and two drink tickets valid for the post-race beer or non-alcoholic beverage. Finishers at home plate will be congratulated by RiverDogs players and mascots. Race packets and bibs may be picked up at Riley Park on Friday, May 1 and on race day; virtual packets will be mailed the week of May 5-8 and include a team-style shirt, custom medal, and digital bib.
