Southend Half Marathon : East Beach, Shoeburyness
The Southend Half Marathon is organised by Havens Hospices and takes place on 14 June 2026 at East Beach, Shoeburyness, SS3 9AD. The event is the charity's flagship race and marks its 30th year; previous editions have sold out and the event has raised over £1.6 million for the hospice.
The route is a two lap coastal course with views across the Thames Estuary. The flat road course is closed to traffic and is open to wheelchair athletes. Detailed route maps, including GPX files, are made available for participants.
Typical entry numbers exceed 2500 runners and the race draws spectators along the seafront and at the start and finish area.
