About the race
Southend Rudolph Run is a festive 5-mile race on the Southend-on-Sea Esplanade, with a junior one-mile scurry option. The fast, flat course runs along a tarmac path and promenade, inviting both experienced runners and beginners. The event is known for its joyful atmosphere, Santa hats, and seasonal camaraderie, and it supports Havens Hospices.
Highlights include a bespoke medal, free photographs, and trophies for leading runners. On-the-day entry is available (subject to availability). Race HQ is adjacent to Ness Road on the Esplanade, with nearby parking and Thorpe Bay station about a mile away.
