Southampton Fast Twitch : event overview
Southampton Fast Twitch is a pool-based sprint triathlon on 19 April 2026 at Applemore Leisure Centre, Dibden, Southampton, Hampshire SO45 5TN. The event is listed as a sprint category and the standard entry fee is £57. Entry is open to entrants aged 15 and over on 31/12/2025.
Course and logistics
- 400m pool swim (16 lengths of an inside pool)
- 21km bike
- 5km run
The bike course heads toward the village of Beaulieu through the New Forest National Park, where participants may encounter roaming livestock, including New Forest ponies, cows, donkeys and pigs. The run finishes by approaching the village of Dibden Purlieu, going up Challenger Way and along Roman Road.
Volunteers perform roles such as car parking, helping on registration, marshalling on the course and running water stops. Volunteers receive a high visibility vest and are offered a free entry code as a thank you. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
