About the race
Southampton Fast Twitch is a pool-based sprint triathlon staged at Applemore Leisure Centre in Dibden, near Southampton, Hampshire. The 400m swim (inside pool), followed by a 21km bike and 5km run, marks an ideal early-season test. The bike leg threads out toward Beaulieu through the New Forest National Park, where participants may encounter roaming ponies and cows, finishing by running toward Dibden Purlieu along Challenger Way and along Roman Road.
The event, organized by Challenging Events, appeals to both novices and seasoned triathletes and is praised for its friendly, well-organized atmosphere and stunning forested scenery.
