Southampton Fast Twitch
Southampton Fast Twitch is a pool based sprint triathlon at Applemore Leisure Centre in Dibden, Southampton, scheduled for 19 April 2026 on the edge of New Forest National Park.
The event consists of the following competitive legs:
- 400 m pool swim (16 lengths of an indoor pool)
- 21 km bike
- 5 km run
The bike course heads toward the village of Beaulieu through New Forest National Park and passes varied terrain. Participants may encounter roaming livestock such as New Forest ponies, cows, donkeys and pigs. The run finishes toward the village of Dibden Purlieu, using Challenger Way and Roman Road.
The event is open to entrants aged 15 and over on 31 December 2025. The listed standard entry fee is £57. The event is organised by Challenging Events Ltd and takes place at Applemore Leisure Centre, Dibden, Southampton, Hampshire SO45 5TN.
Volunteer roles include car parking, registration assistance, course marshalling and running water stops. Volunteers receive a high visibility vest and are provided a free entry code as a thank you for their support. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
