Concord California Turkey Trot 5K
The Concord California Turkey Trot is a community 5K run and walk presented by Diablo Valley Federal Credit Union to benefit Loaves and Fishes of Contra Costa. The event is scheduled for Thanksgiving, Thursday, November 26, 2026, at Newhall Park in Concord, CA.
The program includes a main 5K run/walk, a Family 4-pack registration option, a Kids Run for ages 8 and under, and a Charity 5K entry. Registration for the 5K course is capped at a to-be-determined number of participants. Everyone on the 5K course must have a paid registration except children aged 2 and under who remain in strollers.
The course covers varied terrain, including grass fields, park pathways, and city streets. Participants with strollers or pets are asked to enter at the back of the start area to avoid impeding those racing for time. All 5K Run/Walk participants will receive a tech t-shirt and a medal. The event is USATF sanctioned and will take place rain or shine. Once registration has been paid there are no refunds. Details for packet pickup will be announced in Fall 2026.
