Event overview
The Concord California Turkey Trot is a community charity event taking place on Thursday, November 27, 2025, at Newhall Park in Concord, CA. The run is presented by Diablo Valley Federal Credit Union and benefits Loaves and Fishes of Contra Costa. The main event is a 5K run/walk. Other entries include a family 4-pack registration option, a Kids Run for ages 8 and under, and a charity 5K run/walk entry. The 5K run/walk registration is capped at 1,850 participants. Children 2 years old and under in strollers do not require paid registration.
Course and logistics
The course covers varied terrain, including grass fields, park pathways, and city streets. Participants using strollers or bringing pets are asked to enter at the back of the start area. All 5K run/walk participants receive a tech t-shirt and a medal. The event is held rain or shine and registrations are nonrefundable.
Packet pickup for the 5K run/walk is available at Sports Basement, 1881 Ygnacio Valley Road, Walnut Creek, on Tuesday, November 25 and Wednesday, November 26 from 11:30 AM to 7:00 PM. Late packet pickup is available at Newhall Park on race morning from 6:45 AM to 7:45 AM. The Kids Run packets are available at the Liberty Gymnastics table at Newhall Park on race morning.
