So Long to Summer 5K/10K
Parker Parks and Recreation presents a community run and walk on Sept. 26, 2026 at Salisbury Park, 11920 Motsenbocker Rd. The event is part of the Parker Parks and Recreation Run Series and is organized with RNK Running & Walking. Registered participants receive a race shirt and custom bib, and the field includes professionally timed results. A post race pancake breakfast is provided by Flippin' Flapjacks and an alcoholic beverage is available for participants ages 21 and older. Participants may add a finisher medal during registration.
Standard registration fees are $40 for the 5K and $50 for the 10K. Groups of four or more in the same transaction save 10 percent. Registration fees increase on Sept. 12 and event day registration is available for an additional $5 if space remains. Early registration guarantees a shirt size and a finisher medal when selected; extras may be available after post race pick up.
Awards are given to overall male and female 5K and 10K finishers. Top three male and female finishers in each age division receive medals for: 12 and under, 13 to 19, 20 to 29, 30 to 39, 40 to 49, 50 to 59, 60 to 69 and 70 plus. A free Kids' Dash for children 8 and under follows the race and requires no registration.
The course is an out and back route beginning at Salisbury Park. The event is held rain, snow or shine and refunds are not issued. Strollers and leashed dogs are welcome but must stay on the right side of the trail. Parking is limited and any proceeds will benefit the Town of Parker Scholarship Program.
