Roxborough Ultras
The Roxborough Ultras is a late-summer trail ultramarathon held in Roxborough State Park in Colorado. The event offers two distances: a 50K and a 50 mile race.
The courses are fully marked and follow trails exclusively. Both distances involve sustained climbing, technical sections, exposed terrain, and long stretches with little flat terrain. The race takes place on iconic trails in the Roxborough area, featuring long out-and-back segments and sustained climbs with limited shade.
The 50K includes over 5,000 feet of elevation gain. The 50M includes over 9,000 feet of elevation gain.
August conditions in Roxborough are typically hot and dry, and natural water sources are unreliable or dry. Aid stations are intentionally spaced and are fully stocked, but runners should expect longer gaps between support compared to shorter events in the Front Range area. All participants are required to carry a minimum of 20 ounces of water at all times.
The event is capped in its first year to prioritize quality, safety, and execution over volume. Pricing is flat, with no tiered increases. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
