Event Overview
The 21st Annual Reece’s Roundup is a trail running and walking event held at Philip S. Miller Park in Castle Rock, Colorado. The event takes place on the Philip S. Miller Trail System, providing participants with an outdoor experience while supporting a charitable cause. All proceeds from the event are directed to the Reece Anthony Rubino Benefit Fund, which provides financial support for medical equipment, supplies, and specialized care for an individual living with Type 1 Spinal Muscular Atrophy.
Participants can choose from three distinct distances:
- 10k Trail Run
- 5k Trail Run
- 1 Mile Walk
Registration is open to participants of all ages. There is no advance packet pick-up available for this event; instead, registration and check-in activities occur on-site on the morning of the event. The schedule features staggered start times for the various distances, concluding with an award ceremony and a musical performance.
The course utilizes the local trail network to provide a natural running surface. The event serves as a community gathering to assist with the logistical and financial demands of long-term medical care, including physical, occupational, and speech therapy services. All registrations are final and non-refundable, as they function as contributions to the benefit fund. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
