Course, format and rules
The route is a paved 2.62-mile loop on a former golf course inside the 240-acre Riverwest Preserve. The course uses cart paths and paved trails and passes wooden bridges, waterfalls, and riverfront areas.
Runners use a lap format with a bell signal to start laps. Each loop must be completed within 45 minutes; participants must wait until the full 45-minute lap window has elapsed before beginning the next lap. Shorter lap finishes create fixed rest intervals (for example, a 25-minute lap finish yields a 20-minute wait). Relay teams may have up to four members, only one runner on the course at a time, and runners may do consecutive laps; per-runner lap limits vary by team size. An aid station at the start/finish offers snacks and drinks; no disposable cups are provided, so participants are asked to bring their own.
