Snow Cone 5K
The Snow Cone 5K is an event held on March 29, 2026, at Brian Piccolo Park in Cooper City, Florida. It is the third annual event, held in memory of Cadet Knox MacEwen. The Western High School JROTC Booster Club is hosting the run, which is described as a chip-timed 5K run/walk/roll.
Participants can expect to receive a race bib with a timing chip, an event T-shirt, and a commemorative finisher medal. Awards are presented to the top three overall finishers and the top three finishers in each age group for both males and females.
The event honors Cadet Knox MacEwen, a former JROTC cadet. He was promoted early to Private First Class and was selected for the elite Raiders Team. He earned a Parade Ribbon, Raider Ribbon, and two competition ribbons.
The race aims to support the MacEwen family and allow the South Florida community to come together in Knox's memory. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
