Snow Canyon Half Marathon, 10K, 5K, Fun Run Walk N' Roll
The Snow Canyon event offers multiple race distances through Snow Canyon State Park and nearby trails in St. George. The Half Marathon course is USATF certified and includes some steep downhills. The 10K begins inside Snow Canyon State Park and joins the half marathon route. The 5K follows the Lava Flow Trail around Snow Canyon High School and merges with the half marathon course for the final mile.
Race logistics include mandatory bus transport to the start lines from the back parking lot of Snow Canyon High School; drop off at the start is not allowed. Aid stations provide water and Gatorade at each stop; energy gels are supplied at specified miles on the half marathon and 10K. Pacers are provided for a range of finish times. A time limit of 3 hours 30 minutes applies; athletes not finished within that window will not have course support and will receive a DNF in official results.
Awards are given to the top three male and female overall finishers in the Half Marathon, 10K, and 5K, and to the top three male and female finishers in each five-year age category for those races. All finishers receive a finisher medal. Packet pickup is held at the Dixie Convention Center with limited Saturday pickup available for an additional pre-purchased fee. Shirts are ordered based on registration numbers and are available on a first-come, first-serve basis at the awards area if extras exist. Dogs are not permitted on course.
