Smoky Bear Turkey Chase 5K
The Smoky Bear Turkey Chase 5K is a running event taking place on Thanksgiving morning in Sevierville, Tennessee. The event serves as a fundraiser to benefit the Sevier County High School Foundation and the STEM Scholarship program. Participants assemble at the Sevier County High School parking lot, located at 1200 Dolly Parton Parkway.

The course remains open for 1 hour and 15 minutes following the start of the race. The event proceeds regardless of weather conditions, including rain, snow, or sleet. Strollers are permitted on the course, but pets are restricted to service dogs only.
Pre-registered participants receive race swag and a custom race participation medallion, which also serves as a Christmas ornament. These items are distributed on race day, though availability is only guaranteed for those who register before November 19, 2026. For those registering after this date or on the day of the event, medallions and swag are provided while supplies last.
Registration fees vary based on the date of entry, with costs increasing as the event date approaches. Packet pickup is scheduled for the afternoon of the day before the race at the football stadium and on the morning of the event.
