Little River Run 5K
The Little River Run 5K is the 8th annual fundraiser held in Townsend, Tennessee, with proceeds supporting Keep Blount Beautiful and the Little River Watershed Association. The course is certified and follows a mostly flat neighborhood route by the Little River, including a short section on the Townsend Historical Greenway, beginning and ending at The Abbey. The course is not closed to traffic but is described as a very low traffic area.

Registration fees change by date: early-bird registration is $25 through September 7; the fee increases to $30 on September 8 and to $35 on November 16. Children 12 and under pay $15 at any time. The virtual race has a flat rate of $30; virtual entrants do not receive a chipped bib and are not eligible for awards. Runners who register by November 4 are guaranteed a race T-shirt. T-shirts are available only to in-person attendees or at pre-race packet pickup and will not be mailed.
Pre-race packet pickup is scheduled for November 19 in the evening with race day packet pickup available at The Abbey. Awards will be announced outside The Abbey, weather permitting; overall top three male and female finishers and age-group 1st and 2nd place winners will be recognized. Participants must be present to receive awards.
Parking is provided on nearby lots including a grass lot by the Chocolate B'ar, a lot at CBBC Bank, and overflow parking near the Townsend Post Office about 0.55 miles from The Abbey; parking attendants will assist. Volunteers are requested for setup, registration, parking, and course direction. A filling station will be available for water bottles. Race organizers reserve the right to delay, cancel, suspend, or modify the race or course for inclement weather or safety reasons; there are no refunds or transfers and participants must comply with orders from race or emergency personnel.
