Event overview
The Little River Run 5K takes place on Saturday, November 15, 2025, in Townsend, Tennessee. The event is organized by Keep Blount Beautiful and the Little River Watershed Association as a joint fundraiser; proceeds support their environmental education and sustainability programs. Both an in-person 5K and a virtual 5K option are offered. The course is certified and described as flat, running by the Little River and connecting briefly with the Townsend Historical Greenway. The route begins at The Abbey (7765 River Road) and returns to The Abbey.
Registration, logistics and race services
Early-bird in-person registration is listed at $25 until September 7, with scheduled increases to $30 on September 8 and $35 on November 10; children 12 and under have a $15 rate. The virtual option is not chip-timed and virtual participants are not eligible for awards. Runners who register by October 29 are guaranteed a T-shirt; shirts are available only to in-person attendees or at packet pickup. Packet pickup is scheduled for Thursday, November 13 at Little River Trading Company/Cycology Bicycles in Maryville, with additional pickup on race day in front of The Abbey. Awards will be given to the top three finishers by gender and to 1st and 2nd in each age bracket (0-16, 17-24, 25-34, 35-44, 45-54, 55-64, 65-74, 75+); recipients must be present to receive awards.
