Little River Run 5K : Townsend, Tennessee
The Little River Run 5K is a fundraising running event on 11/21/2026 at The Abbey, 7765 River Road, Townsend, TN. Proceeds support Keep Blount Beautiful and Little River Watershed Association programs focused on environmental education and sustainability.
Distances offered:
- In-person race - 3.1 miles, chip-timed.
- Virtual run - 3.1 miles, self-recorded times, not eligible for awards.
The certified course follows a mostly flat neighborhood route along the Little River, connects briefly with the Townsend Historical Greenway, and returns to The Abbey. The course will not be closed to traffic but is in a very low traffic area.
Registration opens July 8 with tiered fees: early-bird $25 until September 7, $30 beginning September 8, and $35 beginning November 16. Children 12 and under register for $15 at any time. The virtual race fee is $30; virtual registration remains available through race day.
T-shirt distribution is guaranteed for registrations completed by November 4; shirts are provided only to in-person attendees or at packet pickup and will not be mailed. Packet pickup is scheduled ahead of race day and additional pickup is available on race day.
Awards will be presented for overall top finishers and age-group places; recipients must be present to receive awards. Volunteers are needed for setup, registration, parking, and course direction. Race staff may delay, cancel, or modify the event for safety; no refunds or transfers are offered. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
