Course and logistics
The full marathon is an out-and-back route that passes the Dune Climb, Little Glen Lake, and the village of Glen Arbor, with views of the Manitou Islands and Sleeping Bear Dunes. The half marathon follows the Sleeping Bear Heritage Trail and includes hills. The 5K is an out-and-back route that finishes at the shores of Empire Beach. The marathon and half marathon start at the Dune Climb; the 5K begins at Empire Beach. The event takes place during peak fall color season on tree-lined roads and trails.

Registered participants receive a unisex lightweight tri-blend hoodie and a custom finisher medal. Post-race refreshments and snacks are provided, including free beer from Shorts Brewing for participants aged 21 and over and a non-alcoholic hop water option.
