Course and format details: the Marathon and Half Marathon start at the Dune Climb, and the 5K begins at Empire Beach. The full marathon follows an out and back route that passes the Dune Climb, Little Glen Lake, and the village of Glen Arbor, with views of the Manitou Islands and Sleeping Bear Dunes. The half marathon follows the Sleeping Bear Heritage Trail and includes hilly sections. The 5K is an out and back route that finishes at the shores of Empire Beach. The courses are described as tree lined and scheduled at the peak of fall color season.
Included with registration are an official unisex lightweight tri blend hoodie, a custom finisher medal, post race refreshments and snacks including free Shorts beer for participants 21 and older and non alcoholic Shorts Hop Water, professional timing provided by Race Day Events, free digital race photos from Focal Flame Photography, and free participant tracking via RaceJoy. Entry fees listed in the event materials are $85 for the full marathon, $75 for the half marathon, and $35 for the 5K; prices increase after January 31, 2026.
