The Marathon and Half Marathon start at the Dune Climb. The Marathon is an out-and-back route that passes the Dune Climb, Little Glen Lake, and the village of Glen Arbor, with views of the Manitou Islands and Sleeping Bear Dunes. The Half Marathon follows the Sleeping Bear Heritage Trail and includes hilly terrain. The 5K is an out-and-back route that begins at Empire Beach and finishes at the Empire shore.

Standard race inclusions are an official unisex lightweight tri-blend hoodie, a custom finisher medal, and post-race refreshments and snacks. Alcoholic beer from Shorts Brewing is available for participants 21 and older; a non-alcoholic option from the same brewer is also provided. The event uses professional timing (Race Day Events), offers free digital race photos (Focal Flame Photography), and provides free participant tracking via RaceJoy.
