Betsie Bay Frozen 5K
The Betsie Bay Frozen 5K is a winter running event held in Frankfort, Michigan, at the American Legion, 206 Main St. The course distance is 3.1 miles. The event date is 02/13/2027 and proceeds benefit the Benzie County Youth Initiative.
Registration opens 10/01/2026 and closes 01/13/2027; the registration fee is $34.00. Packet pick-up is available at the American Legion on Friday, February 13 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM and again on race morning from 8:30 AM until 9:30 AM; participants may pick up packets for friends or family. Bag drop is available inside the American Legion on race morning.
Parking is available along Main Street and Second Street and near the start in the Furnace Street Distillery parking lot; participants are asked to avoid parking at the Elberta overlook to keep space for bus turnarounds and race staging. Busing is provided to the start; buses will arrive at the American Legion at 9:10 AM and depart for the start at 9:40 AM.
Post-race awards are available at the American Legion with no formal awards ceremony. Awards include top overall placements and the top three finishers in each age group: 14 and under, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, 75-79, and 80 and up. All participants receive a lightweight hoodie, a commemorative bib, a finishers medal, and a coupon for two dollars off a StormCloud draft.
