Betsie Bay Frozen 5K : event details

The Betsie Bay Frozen 5K is scheduled for Saturday, February 14, 2026, in Elberta, Michigan. The course uses the area around Elberta Lookout on Bye Road. Entry fee is $34; the price increases after January 14, 2026. Proceeds benefit the Benzie County Youth Initiative.

All participants receive a lightweight hoodie and a finisher medal. Donated gifts from community partners will be given away randomly to registered participants on race day. A Silver sponsor and a supporter are listed among event partners.

Logistics, awards and packet pickup

Awards are given to the first three overall finishers and to the first-place finisher in each age category: 14 and under; 15-19; 20-24; 25-29; 30-34; 35-39; 40-44; 45-49; 50-54; 55-59; 60-64; 65-69; 70-74; 75-79; and 80 and up. Packet pickup is available at the American Legion in Frankfort on Friday, February 13 (4:00 PM to 6:00 PM) and again on race day shortly before the event. Busing to the start is provided by Frankfort Area Schools and Benzie Bus. Photos from prior years are available. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
