Slate Trail Ultra
Slate Trail Ultra is a trail running event organised by APEX Running in Snowdonia. It takes place in Porth Penrhyn, Bangor on 14 and 15 November 2026 and features long off-road routes across former slate quarry areas.
The event offers two main route options:
- 147 km Slate Trail Ultra, 3,900 m+ elevation, 8 aid stations
- 80 km Ultra Tour of the Quarries, 2,300 m+ elevation, 4 aid stations
Elevation figures are also given in feet as 12,800 ft+ for the 147 km route and 7,500 ft+ for the 80 km route. Cut off times are specified as a 36 hour limit for the 147 km route and a 24 hour limit for the 80 km route. Drop bag support is provided for the longer route. Route maps and an aid station guide are provided for participants.
