Montane Dragon's Back Race
The Montane Dragon's Back Race® is a legendary and grueling 6-day ultra running event held annually in Wales each September. Covering approximately 380 km with 16,400 meters of ascent, the race follows the mountainous spine of Wales from Conwy Castle in the north to Cardiff Castle in the south. Known as one of the world's toughest mountain races, it challenges participants with rugged terrain and significant elevation gain.
The event offers two options: the full course for experienced ultra runners and the Hatchling course, a shorter, flexible alternative.
