Caernarfon Half Marathon
The Caernarfon Half Marathon takes place in Caernarfon on 6 September 2026. The route starts and finishes next to Caernarfon Castle and is described as scenic, with a few small uphill sections and some long fast downhill sections.
Entry is listed at GBP 42 and the organiser states a price match promise. All finishers receive a bespoke medal and a technical t shirt. Prizes are awarded for first, second and third overall male and female and for first in each age category.
Race headquarters and number and chip collection are located by the start and finish. Public car parks in the town are signposted; road closures for the race will not prevent access to those car parks. There will be drink stations at about every three miles and at the finish; runners who need more water are advised to bring a personal bottle. Toilets are provided as portaloos near the start and finish and there are public toilets nearby.
First aid cover is provided by a professional medical team with stations at the start, the finish and on course; runners are asked to complete medical history details on the back of their race number. If a runner retires they should notify a marshal and return their timing chip to race headquarters.
Headphones are not permitted except bone conducting types. Littering outside water stations or not with a marshal may lead to disqualification. Results will be posted later in the day and race photos are available from the event photographer. A charity entry option with St David’s Hospice is available with a minimum sponsorship requirement.
