Event
The Caernarfon Half Marathon is a road race in Caernarfon, GB, organised by Run Wales. The course starts and finishes next to Caernarfon castle and is described as having a few small climbs and some long downhill sections. A technical T-shirt and a bespoke medal are provided for all finishers. The listed entry fee is £42 (GBP).
Race information
Race headquarters and enquiries are located in front of the castle, where race numbers and timing chips are to be collected. Drink stations are provided at about every 3 miles and at the finish; runners who need extra water are advised to bring their own bottle. Toilets are portaloos near the start and finish, with additional public toilets nearby. A professional medical team will provide first aid at the start, finish and on course; runners are asked to complete the medical history on the back of their race number. Small baggage may be left in a baggage area but valuables should not be left. Some road closures will be in place, but not all roads are closed to traffic; marshals will give instructions and runners should keep left unless told otherwise. Headphones are not allowed except bone-conducting types. Runners who discard litter outside water stations or away from marshals may be disqualified. Results will be published later in the day and race photos are available from the event photographer. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
