Caernarfon Half Marathon
The Caernarfon Half Marathon takes place on 6 September 2026 in Caernarfon. The course starts and finishes next to Caernarfon Castle and is described as scenic, with a few small uphill sections and some long, fast downhill sections.
All finishers receive a bespoke medal and a technical T shirt. Race numbers and timing chips are collected at the race headquarters. There is a baggage area where small bags can be left, but runners are asked not to leave valuables.
Drink stations are provided at approximately every three miles and at the finish; runners who need a lot of water are advised to carry their own bottle. Toilets are available in portaloos near the start and finish, with additional public toilets nearby. First aid cover is provided by a professional medical team, with stations located at the start, finish and on course; runners should complete the medical history on the back of their race number.
The event enforces time limits and pacing rules. Runners must keep to specified mile times and may be removed from the race if they do not meet those limits. Where road closures are in place, not all roads will be closed to traffic and closures will re open on a rolling basis. Headphones are not permitted except for bone conducting devices under the applicable athletics rules. Results will be published on the organiser's website later in the day and photos will be available online. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
