Caernarfon Half Marathon
The Caernarfon Half Marathon on 5 September 2027 is a scenic Half Marathon that starts and finishes next to Caernarfon Castle. The course has a few small uphill sections and some long fast downhill sections.
Race HQ is located by the castle where race numbers and timing chips are collected. Parking is available in public town car parks and these are well signposted; participants are asked not to try to park next to the start and finish. Some roads will have closures but not all; runners should follow marshal instructions and keep to the left unless told otherwise.
Drink stations are provided at approximately every three miles and at the finish; runners who need extra fluid are advised to bring their own bottle. Toilets are provided as portaloos near the start and finish with additional public toilets nearby. First aid cover is provided by a professional medical team, with stations at the start, finish and on course; medical details should be completed on the back of the race number. Numbers and chips must be returned if a runner pulls out and retirees should notify the nearest marshal.
A technical T shirt and a bespoke medal are provided to all finishers. Prizes are awarded for 1st, 2nd and 3rd overall male and female and for first in each age category. Headphones are not permitted except bone conducting types under UK Athletics rules. Littering outside water stations or away from marshals may lead to disqualification.
