Caernarfon Half Marathon
The event is a Half Marathon held in Caernarfon on 6 September 2026. The course starts and finishes next to Caernarfon castle and includes a mix of a few small uphill sections and several long, faster downhill sections.
Race administration is based at a race headquarters next to the start and finish. Race numbers and timing chips are collected at race headquarters. Drink stations are provided at about every three miles and at the finish; runners who require extra fluid are advised to carry a personal water bottle. Toilets are provided by portaloo units near the start and finish, with additional public toilets nearby. First aid cover is provided by a professional medical team with stations at the start, finish and on course; entrants are asked to complete medical history details on the back of their race number.
Traffic management includes some road closures but not a full course closure; drivers should not be affected when accessing public car parks in the town. Marshals will give instructions and runners should keep to the left unless directed otherwise. Headphones are not permitted except bone conducting models under UK Athletics rules. A technical shirt and a bespoke medal will be available to all finishers. Prizes are awarded for the first three overall male and female finishers and for first in each age category.
