Yr Wyddfa Snowdon Ultra 100 - event details
The Yr Wyddfa Snowdon Ultra 100 is a long-distance mountain ultramarathon in Snowdonia (Eryri) listed as 102 miles and described throughout as a 100-mile event. The race takes place on Saturday 5 September 2026, with the start and finish at Cae Llan / Village Green, Station Road, Betws-y-Coed. The event has 250 places, a total cut-off of 42 hours and an entry fee of £199. Live online GPS tracking (GB Race Tracker) and real-time race results are provided. Finishers receive a buckle by placing band: Gold for top 100, Silver for 101-200 and Bronze for 201+; additional trophies are awarded to the top three male and top three female finishers.
Course, support and rules
The route runs from Betws-y-Coed to Beddgelert via the Snowdonia Slate Trail and Nant Gwynant valley and includes 11 checkpoints with on-course refreshments and medical cover at each checkpoint. Checkpoints have enforced cut-off times and all participants must check in at every checkpoint or face disqualification. The race is classed as self-navigation; entrants must be at least 20 years old and have prior ultramarathon (50-mile) and mountain experience, and be competent map readers. Mandatory kit must be carried at all times and is subject to random checks; key items include a hardcopy OS map, compass, waterproof coat and trousers, headtorch, backup light, survival/bivi bag, two base layers, 1 L water capacity, emergency rations (min 500 kcal), whistle and the GPS tracker provided by the organiser.
