Yr Wyddfa Ultra 100

The Yr Wyddfa Ultra 100 is a 102 mile mountain ultramarathon in Snowdonia Eryri National Park on Saturday 5 September 2026. The course gains about 5,172 m of elevation, has 11 checkpoints along the route and a total entry limit of 250 places. The overall cut off for the event is 42 hours and the entry fee is £209.

The race is classed as self-navigation. Live online GPS tracking is provided by GB Race Tracker. The route leaves and finishes in Betws-y-Coed and passes Beddgelert, the Snowdonia Slate Trail and the Nant Gwynant valley. Checkpoints offer drinks, snacks and hot food at indoor venues; vegetarian and vegan options are available. Each checkpoint has medical support and enforced cut off times. Failure to check in at a checkpoint leads to disqualification.

Entrants must be at least 20 years old and must have completed an organised 50 mile ultramarathon before race day. Competent map and compass navigation is required. Mandatory kit must be carried at all times and includes a hardcopy map, waterproofs, compass, two long sleeve base layers, minimum 1 litre fluid capacity, charged mobile phone in a waterproof bag, survival bag or bivi, headtorch and backup light, emergency rations, whistle and GPS tracker provided at registration. Pacers are permitted from Checkpoint 6 only; they must be on foot, self sufficient and carry the mandatory kit.

Finishers receive buckles by placing: top 100 Gold, 101 to 200 Silver, 201 and above Bronze. There are bespoke trophies for the top three male and top three female finishers. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
