Yr Wyddfa Ultra 100
The Yr Wyddfa Ultra 100 is a self-navigation mountain race held in the Snowdonia Eryri National Park. The course covers a distance of 102 miles with a total elevation gain of 5172 m. The event has a total capacity of 150 places and a cut-off time of 42 hours.
The route starts and finishes at Cae Llan/Village Green in Betws-y-Coed. The course includes segments of the Snowdonia Slate Trail and passes through the Nant Gwynant Valley, Sygun Copper Mine, Llyn Dinas, and Llyn Gwynant. There is a summit of Yr Wyddfa (Snowdon) included in the route. Eleven checkpoints are situated along the course, providing refreshments such as water, fruit, sandwiches, and hot food at indoor locations.
Participants must meet specific qualifying criteria, including being at least 20 years old and having successfully completed at least one organized 50 mile ultramarathon. Runners are expected to be competent in self-navigation using a map and compass. Live online GPS tracking follows participants throughout the event.

Mandatory kit must be carried at all times, including a waterproof coat with sealed seams, a base plate compass, a survival bag, and emergency rations. Runners may utilize dropbag facilities for two specific checkpoints at Betws-y-Coed and Beddgelert. A single pacer is permitted to join the runner from the halfway point at checkpoint 6.
