Event overview
Slaley Hall & Forest Trail Runs take place on 15 November 2026 at Slaley Hall Hotel, Coal Road, Hexham, NE47 0BX. This is the eighth running of the event. The courses are set on the Slaley Hall estate and through Slaley Forest, on the edge of the North Pennines AONB within around 1,000 acres of woodland and countryside.
Race details
- Half Marathon - 13.1 miles (includes about 7 miles in Slaley Forest)
- 10km - 6.2 miles (single lap of the Slaley Hall grounds)
Route maps are provided for both distances. Live chip-timing is supplied by Timing Up North. The event is canicross friendly: one well-controlled dog per runner is allowed and dogs must remain on a lead at all times.
All finishers receive an event medal, Wild Deer merchandise, a bacon sandwich (or alternative) and a hot drink inside the hotel. Free parking is available on site. An exclusive event T-shirt can be added during registration for £12. Eligibility criteria list entrants aged 17 and over for the half marathon and 15 and over for the 10km.
