Slaley Hall & Forest Trail Runs : November 2026
The Slaley Hall Trail Runs return for their 8th year in November 2026 at Slaley Hall Hotel, Coal Road, Hexham, NE47 0BX. The event offers two measured trail distances on estate grounds and within adjoining woodland.
Distances
- Half Marathon – 13.1 miles includes 7 miles around Slaley Forest
- 10km – 6.2 miles single lap of Slaley Hall grounds
Routes combine forest trails and historic estate grounds on the edge of the North Pennines Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and within roughly 1,000 acres of woodland and countryside. Route maps are provided for each distance. Live chip-timing is used, with instant race results supplied by Timing Up North.
The event is canicross friendly: one well-controlled dog per runner is permitted and dogs must remain on a lead at all times. All finishers receive an event medal, Wild Deer merchandise, a bacon sandwich or alternative, and a hot drink inside the hotel. The hotel bar is available for additional refreshments after the event. Participants may add an exclusive event T-shirt to their entry for a specified fee during registration. Free parking is available on site.
