Slaley Hall & Forest Trail Runs 2026
The Slaley Hall Trail Runs take place at Slaley Hall Hotel, Coal Road, Hexham NE47 0BX, on the edge of the North Pennines AONB. The event is in its eighth year and uses routes across the hotel grounds and surrounding forest within the estate.
Distances offered include:
- Half Marathon: 13.1 miles, includes 7 miles around Slaley Forest
- 10 km: 6.2 miles, single lap of Slaley Hall grounds
Route maps are provided for both distances. Live chip timing is supplied by Timing Up North and results are issued electronically. The event is canicross friendly; one well controlled dog per runner is permitted and dogs must remain on a lead at all times.
All finishers receive an event medal, Wild Deer merchandise, a bacon sandwich or alternative, and a hot drink served inside the hotel. The hotel bar is available for additional refreshments. An optional event T shirt can be added for £12 during registration. Free parking is available on site.
The routes combine forest trails and historic estate grounds within the Slaley Hall estate and its surrounding woodland and countryside. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
