The Prudhoe Miners Road Races take place on 30 August 2026 at Prudhoe Town Football Club, 10 Broomhouse Road, Prudhoe, NE42 5EH. The event is a road-closed running event organised by Wild Deer Events. What3words location: ///prestige.scavenger.extra.
Distances and routes
- 2 km – Children aged 8–11
- 5 km – Anyone aged 11 and over
- 10 km – Anyone aged 15 and over
The 5 km and 10 km routes are described as flatter routes that start and finish at Prudhoe Town Football Club and run out-and-back through Low Prudhoe Industrial Estate. Both distances are accurately measured and will appear on Power of 10.
Timing, cut-off and categories
Live chip timing is provided by Timing Up North. Due to road closures there is a 90-minute cut-off for the 5 km and 10 km races. The event is not Cani-Cross friendly.
Race services and logistics
Finishers receive small items on completion: 5 km and 10 km finishers receive a medal, Wild Deer merchandise, and a hot drink plus a breakfast roll; 2 km finishers receive a medal, merchandise, a drink and a snack. Parking at Prudhoe Town Football Club is limited and cars parked there cannot leave until the event finishes. Alternative parking listed includes Eastwoods Park Car Park, nearby roads and the Aldi at Low Prudhoe Industrial Estate.
Entry and fees
Entry prices listed range from £12.00 for the 2 km up to £24.00 for the 10 km. A bespoke event T-shirt is available as an add-on for £12.00. Registration opens 26/09/2025 and closes 19/08/2026. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
