Prudhoe Town Road Races 2026
Prudhoe Town Road Races returns to Prudhoe Town in summer 2026 as a road closed event organised in conjunction with Prudhoe Town Council and Prudhoe Town Football Club. The event takes place on Sunday 30 August 2026 and is based at Prudhoe Town Football Club, 10 Broomhouse Road, Prudhoe, NE42 5EH.
Distances
- 2km for children aged 8–11
- 5km for anyone aged 11 and over
- 10km for anyone aged 15 and over
The 5km and 10km courses are new, flatter measured routes that start and finish at Prudhoe Town Football Club and run out and back through Low Prudhoe Industrial Estate. Both distances are accurately measured and will appear on Power of 10. The courses are described as suitable for use as a training run or fitness test for those preparing for the Great North Run approximately two weeks later.
Due to road closures, a 90 minute cut off applies to the 5km and 10km races. The event is not Cani Cross friendly. Live chip timing is provided by Timing Up North. Finishers in the 5km and 10km races receive a medal, Wild Deer merchandise, and refreshments including coffee or tea with a breakfast roll; 2km finishers receive a medal, merchandise, a drink and a snack.
