Prudhoe Town Road Races 2026
Prudhoe Town Road Races are scheduled for 30 August 2026 at Prudhoe Town Football Club, 10 Broomhouse Road, Prudhoe, NE42 5EH. The event uses road closures and features measured courses that will appear on Power of 10.
Distances and eligibility:
- 2 km : Children aged 8–11
- 5 km : Anyone aged 11 and over
- 10 km : Anyone aged 15 and over
The 5 km and 10 km courses are new, flatter out-and-back routes that start and finish at the football club and run through Low Prudhoe Industrial Estate. Both distances are accurately measured and are described as having potential for fast times. The event is not Cani-Cross friendly.
Timing is by live chip-timing provided by Timing Up North. Due to road closures there is a 90 minute cut-off for the 5 km and 10 km races. Finishers receive awards and refreshments: 5 km and 10 km finishers receive a medal, Wild Deer merchandise, and hot drink with a breakfast roll; 2 km finishers receive a medal, merchandise, a drink and a snack. A bespoke event T-shirt is available for an additional £12.00.
Parking at the football club is limited because of road closures; alternative parking options include Eastwoods Park Car Park and nearby roads including the Aldi at Low Prudhoe Industrial Estate.
