Prudhoe Town Road Races 2026
Prudhoe Town Road Races return to Prudhoe Town on 30 August 2026. The road-closed event is based at Prudhoe Town Football Club, 10 Broomhouse Road, Prudhoe NE42 5EH, and uses out-and-back courses that run through Low Prudhoe Industrial Estate.
Distances offered:
- 2 km : Children aged 8–11
- 5 km : Anyone aged 11 or older
- 10 km : Anyone aged 15 or older
The 5 km and 10 km routes are described as flatter than previous layouts and start and finish at the football club. Both distances are accurately measured and will appear on Power of 10. Live chip timing is provided by Timing Up North. There is a 90 minute cut-off for the 5 km and 10 km races due to road closures. The event is not Cani-Cross friendly.
Finishers for each race receive a medal, Wild Deer merchandise, and a breakfast roll. Entry fees range from £12 for the 2 km to £24 for the 10 km, with intermediate pricing for the 5 km. The organiser notes the 10 km course can serve as a training run or fitness test for those planning the Great North Run two weeks later.
