Prudhoe Town Road Races 2026
The Prudhoe Town Road Races are held in collaboration with the Prudhoe Town Council and the Prudhoe Town Football Club. This event features road-closed courses that begin and end at the Prudhoe Town Football Club on Broomhouse Road. The routes for the primary distances take participants through the Low Prudhoe Industrial Estate on an out-and-back course designed to be flat.
Participants can choose from three distinct distances:
- 2 km: Available for children between the ages of 8 and 11.
- 5 km: Open to participants aged 11 and older.
- 10 km: Open to participants aged 15 and older.
The 5 km and 10 km courses are accurately measured and recorded for Power of 10. Due to the road closure requirements, a 90-minute cut-off time is in place for these two distances. The event uses live chip-timing services to track runner results.
Finishers of the 5 km and 10 km races receive a medal, event merchandise, and refreshments including tea or coffee and a breakfast roll. Participants in the 2 km race receive a medal, merchandise, a drink, and a snack. The event does not permit participation with dogs (not Cani-Cross friendly).
