Event overview
Prudhoe Miners Road Races take place on 23 August 2026 at Prudhoe Town Football Club, 10 Broomhouse Road, Prudhoe, NE42 5EH. The event uses road closures and includes measured courses that will appear on Power of 10. The 5km and 10km routes start and finish at the football club and run out-and-back through Low Prudhoe Industrial Estate. The 5km and 10km courses are described as flatter routes aimed at faster times. The event is not Cani-Cross friendly.
Race and practical information
Distances:
- 2km - Children aged 8–11
- 5km - Anyone aged 11+
- 10km - Anyone aged 15+
Live chip-timing is provided by Timing Up North. There is a 90-minute cut-off for the 5km and 10km races due to road closures. Finishers receive event items: 5km and 10km finishers get a medal, merchandise, coffee or tea and a breakfast roll; 2km finishers get a medal, merchandise, a drink and a snack. A bespoke event T-shirt is available for an additional £12.00. Parking at the football club is limited and parked cars cannot leave until the event finishes; alternative parking is listed at Eastwoods Park Car Park, nearby roads and the Aldi at Low Prudhoe Industrial Estate.
