Stanhope 10 Miler
The Stanhope 10 Miler is a non profit, plastic free event in Stanhope, County Durham, held in the Durham dales. The event supports local charities and all money raised goes directly to the nominated charity, Quinn’s Retreat (Registered Charity Number 1187899).
The course is a single 10 mile multi terrain lap with an undulating profile. Runners leave Stanhope, climb up (Killing Me) Softly Bank towards Bollihope to a high point of about 1300 ft, continue via Hill End and return through Stanhope to finish at the Stanhope Showfield. Approximately 90% of the route is on road and 10% is on grass or trail. The route is signposted with quarterly mile markers and marshals, first aid trained personnel and sweepers will be in place.
Entry is limited to 150 places. The entry fee is £24 for both runners and walkers; this price includes race fees, card charges and administration. Entry on the day is not available. All participants must register at event HQ where race numbers are issued. The event is an open road run and participants take part at their own risk. The race is not suitable for wheelchairs and race licence is not applicable.
