Skyline 50K Endurance Run : August 2, 2026

Skyline 50K is scheduled for August 2, 2026, at Lake Chabot Marina in Castro Valley, California. The main course is a large loop through the East Bay Regional Parks that reaches Skyline Gate and returns to Lake Chabot Marina. The event is one of the oldest continuously running 50k races in the United States. Organizers describe the race as a good option for first-time ultrarunners and also host a half marathon in a looped format that starts and finishes at the same marina.

Aid stations are staffed by local Bay Area running groups, including Dusty Bottoms, Running for a Better Oakland, Lake Merritt Joggers and Striders, and Pamakids. A Volunteer Safety Patrol provides direction at key intersections. Athlete guides, course GPX files, maps, aid station lists and cutoff information are available from the organizer.

A digital race briefing is scheduled before race week and bib pickup is offered at Sports Basement Berkeley the day before the race; bib pickup is optional and someone else may collect a bib for an entrant. Training runs are free and self-supported; organizer updates are shared via their Strava club. All entrants receive a race shirt, Skyline socks, and a finisher medal. Awards are given to overall winners and three deep by age group. The race is part of the P-USATF Grand Prix and is listed as a UTMB Index event.
