Overview
Skyline 50K Endurance Run is scheduled for August 2, 2026, at Lake Chabot Marina in Castro Valley, California. The event includes a 50 km race and a half marathon. The 50k starts and finishes at Lake Chabot Marina and follows a large loop through the East Bay Regional Parks up to Skyline Gate. The organizer describes Skyline as one of the oldest continuously running 50k races in the United States. The finish area includes a plant-based BBQ and beer, and families are welcome. Race details
Aid station support comes from multiple Bay Area running groups and a Volunteer Safety Patrol provides direction at key intersections. Bib pickup is optional; someone may pick up bibs for others and runners receive a shopping discount when using their bib. Training runs are free and self-supported. All runners receive a race shirt, Skyline socks, and a finishers medal. Awards are given to overall winners and three deep by age group. Skyline 50k is part of the P-USATF Grand Prix and is a UTMB Index event. The event generally does not offer refunds; outside of 30 days entrants may defer to a future year or another Scena race, and no deferrals are offered within 30 days of race day.
