Skyland Trail 5K Run/Walk
The Skyland Trail 5K Run and Walk is a community event held in September at the Skyland Trail J. Rex Fuqua Campus for Adolescents in Chamblee, Georgia. The route begins and ends at 2830 Dresden Drive and winds through nearby neighborhoods. Free parking is provided at the Chamblee Boys and Girls Club at 2880 Dresden Drive with signs and volunteers guiding attendees.
Proceeds support Skyland Trail’s evidence based psychiatric treatment programs for teens ages 14 to 17 and adults ages 18 and older, with fundraising intended to help remove financial barriers for families. Donations are accepted through September 30 and virtual participation is available as an alternative to in person attendance.
This family friendly event is open to all; individuals under 18 must be accompanied by a responsible adult. The event will be chip timed and is listed as an official qualifier for the 2027 AJC Peachtree Road Race. Advance registration fees start at $35 and on site walk up registration is listed at $50; prices may increase before the event.
Safety and site policies include water availability with a recommendation to bring a personal bottle, a request that parents with strollers start at the back of the group, and prohibitions on animals except service animals, weapons, and smoking or vaping anywhere on campus.
