Skipjack Run - Deal Island, MD
The Skipjack Run takes place on Saturday, September 12, 2026, at Deal Island Harbor in Deal Island, Maryland. The event offers two measured distances and a simultaneous start for both the 5K and 10K. The half mile slope of Deal Island Bridge appears at both the start and the finish of each distance, and the start line is set near the Chesapeake Bay skipjack fleet and the harbor area.

Professional chip timing is provided by TCR Event Management. Race amenities include refreshments (including chocolate milk), multiple water stops, a long sleeve cotton-feel tech tee, raffles, and unique trophies. Awards are given without duplicates across Overall Male and Female, Masters Male and Female (over 40), and age group divisions for both men and women.
Race day registration is available. Walkers, jogging strollers, and well mannered canines on leashes are permitted. Emergency medical technician assistance is available during the event. The organizer states there is no rain date and no refunds. One hundred percent of proceeds support the Deal Island Community Thanksgiving Dinner held on Thanksgiving Day.
