Girls on the Run Eastern Shore 5K
The Girls on the Run Eastern Shore 5K is a season-closing celebratory event for program participants. It takes place on 12/05/2026 at Pirate's Wharf Park, 4701 Whitehaven Rd, Quantico, MD 21856. The event gives participants a tangible sense of accomplishment and marks the end of the program season.
Crossing the finish line is described as a confidence-building moment, and every program participant receives a commemorative medal to acknowledge completion. Registration for the event will open in October 2026.
Volunteers support many event operations, including start and finish line support, course marshals, water stations, post-race refreshments, cheer stations, Happy Hair, and Bling Your Bib. Local and national sponsors support the 5K; the presenting sponsor is MedStar Health, and national partners include Adidas, Gamma Phi Beta, BAND, and Fleet Feet. Additional local partners include CareFirst, Charm City Run, Under Armour, Salisbury University, Giant, and United Way of the Lower Eastern Shore.
