47th Mike Sterling 10k/5k
The event is held in Crisfield, Maryland, beginning and ending at the Crisfield City Dock at the end of Route 413 during the National Hard Crab Derby. The course is described as fast and flat and runs through the city, residential neighborhoods, and along waterfront outskirts. Water stops are provided at three locations along the route.
Distances offered:
- 10 km run
- 5 km run (3.1 miles)
- 10 km ruck with a 20 pound weight requirement
Registration opens September 6, 2025 and closes August 30, 2026. Standard registration is $25; the entry fee increases to $35 on August 31, 2026 and to $40 on race day. Participants who register on or before August 1, 2026 are guaranteed a t-shirt. Packet pickup is scheduled for Friday, September 4, 2026 at Wellington Beach.
The event is held rain or shine and no refunds are offered; proceeds support the Crisfield Area Chamber of Commerce. Organizers have combined the former 5k walk into the 5k race; participants who prefer to walk may still enter the 5k or the 10k race. The 10k ruck uses the same course as the 10k run and includes the stated weight requirement. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
