Mike Sterling Race
The Mike Sterling Race is part of the National Hard Crab Derby in Crisfield, Maryland and is scheduled for Saturday, September 5, 2026. The event is the 47th running and begins and ends at the Crisfield City Dock at the end of Route 413.
Participants may choose from these distances:
- 10K race
- 5K race
- 10K ruck with a 20 pound load
The course is described as fast and flat. It runs through the city, through neighborhoods, and along the waterfront outskirts. Water stops are provided at three locations along the route. Packet pickup takes place on Friday, September 4, 2026 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Wellington Beach.
Registration fees are noted to increase: $25 initially, $35 beginning August 24, 2026, and $40 on race day, September 5, 2026. Registrants on or before August 1, 2026 are guaranteed a t-shirt. The event is held rain or shine and there are no refunds; all proceeds support the Crisfield Area Chamber of Commerce.
