Pirate's Wharf 5K in Quantico, Maryland
The Pirate's Wharf 5K is a community road race held on October 10, 2026, at Pirate's Wharf Park, 4701 Whitehaven Road, Quantico. The course runs on a crushed stone path and the event is presented by the Eastern Shore Running Club.
Proceeds support the Eastern Shore Running Club general fund and a scholarship fund for local high school graduating seniors. The club is a nonprofit affiliated with the Road Runners Club of America, and the scholarship fund is held at the Community Foundation of the Eastern Shore.
The event includes overall and age group awards. New youth age groups this year are 10 and under, 11 to 14, and 15 to 19; after age 19, age groups increase in 10 year increments up to 70 and over. A reduced entry fee is offered for participants 19 and under.
Registration fee tiers for ages 20 and up are $30 until September 10, $35 from September 11 through October 7, and $40 on race day. For ages 19 and under the fees are $20 until September 10, $25 from September 11 through October 7, and $30 on race day. Eastern Shore Running Club members save $5 on registration and may become members during registration. Registrants who register by September 19 are guaranteed an event shirt.
Only the 5K is offered this year; walking the 5K is permitted. Dogs, other pets, and strollers are not allowed. The event time limit is 1 hour and 15 minutes. Food, drinks and a DJ are provided after the race. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
