Event overview
The Skinny Raven event offers in-person and virtual options for two distances:
- Half marathon
- 10K
The in-person event begins and ends at the Rose Garden on the west end of the Delaney Park Strip in Anchorage. The event includes finisher items for both in-person and virtual participants: a long sleeve tech shirt, a finisher medal, a custom finisher glass, and a personalized bib for registrations before June 23. In-person participants receive a box lunch; half marathon participants also receive a nutrition pack.
Course and support
The course follows the Tony Knowles Coastal Trail and Point Woronzof Road, with coastal and mountain views. Waves will be used at the start; overall top three finishers are determined by gun time while age group rankings use chip (net) time. Aid stations provide water, an electrolyte drink, and some single-serving snacks; specific stations will also supply energy gels. A bag check is available near the finish area. Bike parking is offered by a valet-style service and is available on a first-come basis.
Logistics and services
Post-race services include lunch, cider in a cider garden, coffee, refreshments, and recovery services from local providers. Athlete tracking is available through online result notifications and a GPS tracking app. Parking is available in downtown streets and garages, with no parking allowed along the race route on N Street or 9th and 10th Streets between L Street and P Street. Packet shipping for virtual participants is available; shipping outside the state to lower 48 states or Hawaii carries a $5 fee. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
