The Skidaway Island Half Marathon & 5k takes place on Saturday, February 28, 2026, in Savannah, GA (10 Ocean Science Circle / Skidaway Island). The event offers two distances:
- Half marathon
- 5k
Current entry prices are listed as $80 for the half and $35 for the 5k; prices increase after December 31, 2025. The race expects about 800 half marathon participants and about 200 5k participants. Packet pickup is scheduled for February 27 at Howe 2 Run (11 Gateway Blvd. South, Suite 54). RaceJoy phone tracking is provided for live GPS progress and remote cheers. Timing uses MyLaps chip timing with instant online results.
Course and logistics
The half marathon course is US Track and Field certified and may be used as a qualifying time; the 5k is not certified. The route runs through The Landings Association and The Landings Club on Skidaway Island, with marsh and riverfront views, golf course glimpses, paved roads and generally flat terrain. The first and last 2.5 miles are open to the public; much of the remainder passes through gated areas that require resident access. Aid stations are placed every 2 miles with Gatorade provided at two locations. Parking is free near the start and finish at the Skidaway Island Ocean Institute. Pets are not allowed; strollers and headphones are allowed. Continuous awards and age-group recognition are provided; finishers receive a medal, race shirt and free photo downloads.
