St. Vincent’s 1845 Foundation Nun Run
The St. Vincent’s 1845 Foundation Nun Run is an annual running event held in Savannah, Georgia. Now in its fourth year, the event takes place within Daffin Park, with the main assembly area located near the Historic Grayson Stadium on East Victory Drive. The race serves as a fundraiser to support the Historic Preservation efforts of the St. Vincent’s 1845 Foundation’s Convent.
Participants have the option to compete in different distances:
- 5k (3.1 miles)
- 1/2 Mile (800 meters) for kids under 9 years old
The event is open to both runners and walkers, provided they can complete the course within a one-hour and thirty-minute time limit. While dressing in costume as a nun is not a requirement for participation, many attendees choose to wear black and white attire or creative habits for the race.
Registered participants receive a lifestyle race shirt, free action photos, and access to an official photo backdrop. The course is professionally managed with electronic chip timing. At the conclusion of the race, finishers are provided with a commemorative medal, healthy snacks, and drinks. Detailed results and photographs are made available online following the completion of the competition. Packet pickup is organized at the St. Vincent’s Academy Gym on the day prior to the race.
