The Skeleton Run
The Skeleton Run is a Halloween 5K held on October 24, 2026, on the grounds of Fort Monmouth in Oceanport, New Jersey. The event takes place at 114 Saltzman Ave, Oceanport, NJ 07757, and is organized by Beacon Events.
The course is a closed course laid out through Fort Monmouth. The distance for the main event is 5K. All participants receive a skeleton suit. Results are chip timed. Costumes are encouraged for participants.
Event amenities include a choice of two official after parties at Baseline Social and Birdsmouth Brewing, where participants may claim a beer or a soft drink. Live music will be provided at the after parties by Ocean Avenue Stompers. Birdsmouth will also host a vendor village.
Registration opens May 17, 2026 and closes June 18, 2026. The registration fee is $40. A portion of event proceeds will go to Lunch Break's Family Promise Center on Fort Monmouth.
