62nd Annual Asbury Park Polar Bear Races
The event is scheduled for Saturday, December 27, 2025, in Asbury Park, New Jersey. It is organized around three race events held from the Asbury Park Convention Center area, with courses that start outside Convention Hall by Robinson Ale House.
- 5K Run : $40
- 1 Mile Run : $15
- 5K Racewalk : $40
Course, logistics and awards
The 5K course goes out 1.55 miles, turns around in Bradley Beach, and returns to finish at Convention Hall. The 1 Mile course goes out 1/2 mile and back to the finish. The 5K course has narrow sections leaving Asbury Park and on the Bradley Beach boardwalk; runners are asked to stay to the right going out and coming back. Mile participants are instructed to stay left and turn right to maintain traffic flow.
T-shirt and bib pickup are available on event day. Commemorative T-shirts are provided to the first 500 people who pick up their bibs. McLoone’s gift certificates and other gear will be awarded to the top three open men and women and to the top male and female masters in the 5K. Age group awards are grouped by five years. All mile finishers receive medals and top boys and girls in the mile receive a special award. Awards are presented back in Convention Hall once results are available.
The listed charity partner is Interfaith Neighbors and its Community Food Connection program, which distributes fresh local produce to over 35 pantries and community sites weekly. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
