22nd Annual Pink Ribbon 5k Run/Walk
The Sisters by Choice Pink Ribbon 5k offers both in-person and virtual participation options to support breast health services in Metro Atlanta. The in-person event takes place at Piedmont Park, utilizing the Charles Allen Entrance. Participants can choose between several entry categories:
- In-Person Timed 5k Run/Walk
- In-Person Untimed 5k Run/Walk
- Virtual 5k Run/Walk
- Kids 6yrs old and Under
- Phantom Runner (Non-participating supporter)
The virtual event can be completed at any location. Participants may track their progress using smartphone apps or smartwatches, with 5 km being approximately equivalent to 5,500 steps or 12.5 laps around a standard track. Virtual results are submitted through a provided online portal.
Proceeds from the registration fees are directed toward the operational costs of the Sisters by Choice Mobile Breast Clinic. This facility provides free mammograms and breast exams to underserved and underinsured individuals.
Registered in-person participants receive hydration on-site and t-shirts on the day of the event. Virtual participants have their t-shirts delivered by mail. Medals are awarded to the first 500 finishers who cross the line. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
