Sirens and Sneakers 5K at Ort Farms, Long Valley
The Sirens and Sneakers event is the third annual running event held at Ort Farms in Long Valley, New Jersey. It is organized to raise funds for additional resources and training opportunities for volunteer first responders in Long Valley, including the Long Valley First Aid Squad and local fire departments.
The adult course is a two-lap route totaling 5 kilometers. Runners should expect mixed terrain on the farm, including loose dirt, gravel, grass, and paved roads; conditions can vary with farm activity and weather. Each lap includes two public road crossings that will be assisted by the Washington Township Police Department. The event is held rain or shine.
There are two kids races for different age groups. Key details:
- 5 kilometers adult race.
- 300 yard dash for ages 5 to 8, out and back.
- 0.60 mile kids race for ages 9 to 12, on farm fields and farm roads.
All kids race finishers receive a custom event medal. Adult pre-registrants who register by 2026-09-09 receive a race shirt. Prize baskets are awarded to the top three men and women, with specified awards for first through third place. Registration is capped at 400 participants and day-of registration is welcome.
