Sioux Falls Marathon
The Sioux Falls Marathon takes place in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, and offers several distance options for participants. The event features multiple race categories, with routes that pass through downtown Sioux Falls, the city's park system, and the local bike trail network.
Available race distances and formats include:
- Full Marathon (26.2 Miles)
- Half Marathon (13.1 Miles)
- Miracle 5K (5 Kilometers)
- Dual Race: Full Marathon and Miracle 5K
- Dual Race: Half Marathon and Miracle 5K
The marathon course is USATF certified and serves as a Boston Marathon qualifier. Both the full and half marathon distances incorporate iconic locations such as Falls Park. All races finish outdoors on the track at Howard Wood Field, with the start located in the parking lot east of the field.
Participants in the "Dual Race" categories receive three separate medals upon completion: one for each individual distance and a specific dual medal. Runners choosing the full marathon and 5K dual option must complete the marathon within three hours and 30 minutes to reach the 5K starting line. Live tracking for all participants is provided by MTEC Results. A portion of the proceeds from the event is donated to the Sanford Children's Miracle Network.
